Garine Berberian, AIA, RID, NCARB, LEED AP

Garine Berberian, AIA, RID, NCARB, LEED AP, is a Project Architect at RJHA with a lifelong passion for architecture that began growing up outside Beirut, Lebanon. Inspired by her father’s architectural practice, she started interning at his firm at age 15 and went on to earn her Master of Architecture from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts before continuing her education in the United States.

A registered architect in Florida, Garine has built a diverse career spanning student housing, assisted living, municipal, and educational projects. Her experience working at a structural engineering firm in California strengthened her technical expertise and deepened her appreciation for the relationship between design and construction. She is passionate about every stage of the design process, from programming through construction administration, and has led LEED certification efforts for numerous projects.
Before joining RJHA, Garine spent almost a decade at MC Harry & Associates, specializing in municipal and high school projects.

She is particularly interested in historic preservation and hopes to further specialize in the field. Outside of work, Garine enjoys painting and playing classical guitar and endeavors to inspire her daughter’s musical and creative pursuits.
