Carl Fisher Clubhouse

RJHA provided the full restoration/design services for 2 historical structures converting them for use as a multi-purpose annex VIP building for the Miami Beach Convention Center Complex. The restoration of the 1916 Clubhouse building includes the interior restoration of the Main Hall which is an impressively crafted double height space with detailed moldings and ornate fireplace mantle. The Scope of Work for the existing locally designated historic structure includes restoration of existing facades and historic features of both clubhouse and annex buildings, replacement of existing exterior doors and windows with impact resistant windows, interior renovations, removal of non-historic connecting walkway, structural repairs and enhancements, new HVAC, electrical and plumbing. Our team has 3D laser scanning capabilities to quickly and accurately capture as-built conditions for building documentation. Precise measurements can be taken between individual scan points, edges, and planes to create construction documents. 3D laser scanning is indispensable for pre-existing architecture or historical preservation. Its accuracy minimizes construction rework, adding to laser scanning’s cost-efficiency. Floor plans, cross-sections and elevations can be created from the 3D scan data.
