Versailles Hotel at the Aman Miami Beach

Withstanding the test of time, the 80 year old historic Versailles Hotel is located in the Collins Ave Historic District in Miami Beach. Since its abandonment in 2011, this iconic hotel has been searching for a new future. After careful deliberation, the Miami Beach Historical Preservation Board approved of the property being fully restored and converted into a luxury Aman hotel.

Our firm was selected as the preservation architect by the Miami Beach Historical Preservation Board. The new and improved property will consist of 55 rooms and a brand new residence tower consisting of 23 boutique condos. The height will be increased from 207 feet to 250 feet to give the building a more slender, elegant design instead of a heavier and more oppressive one.  The highlight of RJHA’s work will be building the Gulf Stream Room, a luxury dining room along the side of the building that was demolished decades ago. Bringing back the Gulf Stream Room fulfills RJHA’s mission of achieving a modern style while amplifying the Versailles Hotel’s historic architecture and its place in the Miami Beach Art Deco District.
