Florida Memorial University Lou Rawls Center for the Performing Arts
The Lou Rawls Center for Performing Arts at Florida Memorial University replaced the existing Matthew W. Gilbert Teaching Auditorium, a 390 seat house with limited stage facilities. The RJHA team developed the auditorium into a first rate performance venue for drama, musical theatre, dance and chamber and amplified music for the University and the community. The glass enclosed lobby overlooking the lagoon provides an elegant setting for both students and community theatregoers. The 450 seat multi-purpose hall surrounds the patron in warm woods and comfortable fabrics, creating a soothing atmosphere amidst lively acoustics and exceptional sightlines. The cavernous stage house with its state-of-the-art rigging and lighting systems makes a perfect venue for performers.
